Hello! Thank goodness I found this forum before caving to what were probably a few scams. I have just begun my search for a small camper trailer that I can handle myself and decorate in a 50s theme, so I'm so excited to have found you! I live in the Austin, Texas area and have recently begun looking at all brands of small trailers, even new ones (blasphemy, I know), but I keep coming back to the vintage Shastas! So, I'm hoping to make the process of searching, buying and re-vamping my future Shasta a positive experience. From what I can tell, this forum has a wealth of information provided by a great bunch of people, so I'm excited about getting to know you and becoming a part of this community!

Welcome new member! I'm sure you will find just the right camper if you wait for just the right one to come along and possibly willing to travel. It took me over four months to find just the right Compact and had to travel seven hours to check it out and seven hours bring it home. Lots and lots of valuable information in this forum.
