Well our 64 1500 had a lot ( and I mean "a lot") of heavy silver roof cement on the skin. I tried everything to get it off to no avail. I am guessing an easy 50 pounds roof actually sagged, but it didn't seem to leak. I took it off and through it away!!! couldn't even recycle it with the coating on it. Now I need to put a skin on. Here is the trouble.
I live just east of Chicago. I am trying to find some place to supply the skin. I don't care if it is painted or un painted but need 78 1/2 inch wide by 15 feet long and with a S lock on the ends. I have quotes from Florida and California but with shipping am looking a 800 - 900 dollars. Did not pay that for the camper. Any help out there on where to get aluminum. I am not opposed to driving a few hours, although gas is a killer right now.
Help me out here!! The season is upon us!!

Instead of the S lock, you could overlap with putty in between and screw the top into the rafter/crossboard. Semi truck repair places sell one piece aluminum that might work for you.
