My wife just made a nice awning, but we still need to make the attachment that slides into the rail. I noticed that Vintage Trailer Supply sells custom made awnings with a sewn on plastic piece for this purpose. When I asked them if they would sell that piece, they replied that their custom awning maker asked them not to sell it anymore. Hmmmm....that sort of frosted me. Apparently folks who are rebuilding these old campers shouldn't be making their own awnings. Anyway, anyone know of a good source for this material? Also looking for good poles and ropes for the awning.
