I found an old Virginia trailer registration card in the trailer this morning while cleaning it out and inspecting the wood rot damage around some of the windows. My trailer is a 1963 and was purchased on July 25, 1963. It appears that is has spent its entire life in Virginia.

I am new to the Forum. We have just bought a Shasta, possibly a 1963. It has a rear side entry door. There is a number on the side of the tongue w/o a letter, 13398. Built in Goshen, Indiana. Thanks for the information.

Ross, Our '62 16SC has a VIN (on the title and looks like on the tongue) of ES19839 and the door plaque says Northridge, CA. Maybe the ES is really an FS?

Thanks ruralroute!!
Redwings, Can you PM me or post a few pictures of the VIN? Sometimes a few pictures taken from different angles can help and you can also make the picture very large, so reading it is made easier.
ES is a California letter for the Shasta VINS, but I don't know what city produced them.
Van Nuys used C, Northridge used FS & GS. The D's & E's I am unsure of, at this time.

Hi we just bought a Shasta Compact and are still having trouble dating it. We were told by the seller that it was a 1972, NCDMV thinks maybe 1966. The VIN is S1494. No date on the back of the mirror or under the sink but the VIN is stamped in 2 places on the tongue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for doing this Ross, I had not looked closely at the title but the Shasta Loflyte advertised as a 1974 that we just bought is actually listed as a 1971 on the title and the vin # is v31097. It is definitely a Loflyte as the original plaque is on the side by the door and it says Loflyte. Can you tell the actual year from your database?

Thank you!
Your Loflyte was built in 1970 and probably sold in 1971.
I sent you a PM to show you the other VIN's around your's.
