Just curious as to what interest there would be in a glamping section on the forum. I was thinking subtitles like.....Glamping pictures.....glamping items for sale/wanted.....etc.

I think a glamping board is a great idea! One of my favorite parts about camping is getting to decorate the camper and site! I'd love to see what other girls (and guys) do to glamp ;D

She is super excited about the Riverbend rally and I think about flipped when we decided to come a day early (though it could have been the hush puppies too)

Great idea! Question - can you "glamp" in a cowboy-themed trailer? I really wanted to do blue and white toile with white walls, but I didn't think the hubby would be too thrilled to camp in a foo foo trailer FYI guys: It's pronounced "twall" and it's fabric with little scenes on it Oh, and I have lots of vintage linens and dishes with pink flowers I'd love to sell. I have collected them for years and don't need them.

Sounds good to me.
Personnaly I love the vintage decor, but there is a point that you need to draw the line where decor is more becomes clutter. I'm not a painted wall kind of guy but I enjoy checking out other's ideas.

So this thread is our glamping section until our admins give us a real one? I'm all for the glamping section, and yes, you can definitely glamp with a cowboy theme.

I second kto17's comment, I am sure you've all seen pictures(especially if you subscribe the Vintage Camper Trailer magazine), where it looks like somebodies garage sale exploded in front of the trailer. Come on who bring 7 vintage radio's and 4 vintage fans, and 8 vintage water jugs and the 50's couch from the living room, camping or should I say Glamping! ;D I am going to post 3 photos taken from Vintage Camper Trailers Facebook Page...I think I would move if these people ever set up net to me, although they do bring a bar along with them! You don't need that much stuff to go "camping" but you do if you go a rally

Yes you do need that much stuff! But maybe just for a rally.
I was thinking we should have a glamping thread on the forum.
Sorry to the guys, but yippie for the gals ;D

Yes, please--a glamping area! I haven't made a lot of progress with my compact because of the rain but a glamping section would definitely increase the motivation!

Happy to see there`s some interest. Hopefully there will be enough interest to warrant a complete section dedicated to glamping. I think just a single thread would become congested really quickly. I know a glamping section would be mainly for the gals but I also had the guys in mind when I thought about it. Bo and I are lucky in that we are both mainly interested in the repair/restoring part of a vintage camper but a lot of gals aren`t, so I thought that a glamping section would maybe help a lot of the guys out in regards to getting their wives interested in the whole vintage camper thing.

Agreed! I'm new! And I'm doing the resto and the deco.. I'd love to see a glamping section! ..though those pics are overkill! Just a couple of lawn chairs and pink flamingos would do for me!

I thought he was talking about your pups when he said something about, " The hush puppies have got boandsusan too" . It took me a while to figure out that he meant the corn things that you all eat with fish. Before you laugh too much, please keep in mind that I am not from the States and I`m use to eating fish and chips not fish and fried corn balls. Although I have tried them and I don`t mind the ones with onions in them .

Cindy and Bob are quite the trend setters. And when they set up a display you can bet that they are going to go all out. They have a whole garage full of stuff for other themes too. No matter the theme, they have the stuff for it. Bob and Cindy are the Wagon Masters for the Pismo Rally. They have this stuff down pat and each season there's something new up their sleeves so it never get's old. Bob and Cindy are my mentors and have taught me most of what I know.
When the new Glamping section comes up I'll let Cindy know about it.

Vikx has to talk to the forum owner and see what they/she can do. I`m sure if there is enough interest, she`ll make it happen. I`m pleasantly surprised that so many of you Guys checked out and even posted to a thread that`s titled *GLAMPING* , I thought it was only going to be the Gals that checked it out .

I am equally excited about ripping out rotted wood -as decorating. My husband suggested we call the new old trailer "Pandora's box"!
